About the Venue

The Ateneo de Davao University (Pamantasang Ateneo de Davao) is a private Catholic basic and higher education institution in Davao City, Davao del Sur, Philippines. It is run by the Philippine Jesuit Province. Before the Jesuits assumed administration of the school in 1948, it was known as St. Peter’s Parochial School. After taking over, the Jesuits renamed the institution Ateneo de Davao, following their tradition at the time of naming Jesuit-run schools “Ateneo” (Spanish for “academy” or “learned society”). The Ateneo de Davao is one of nine schools in the Philippines bearing the Ateneo name.  [Wikipedia]

How to Get There

✈️By Air
Flying is the most efficient way to reach Davao, especially if you’re coming from outside Mindanao. The city is served by Francisco Bangoy International Airport, also known as Davao International Airport. Multiple airlines offer frequent flights to Davao from major Philippine cities like Manila, Cebu, Iloilo, and Zamboanga . This is your best bet if you are arriving from Luzon or the Visayas. For International Flights, the airport also has direct connections to several cities in Southeast Asia, including Singapore. Flying time from Manila to Davao typically takes between 1 hour 45 minutes and 1 hour 55 minutes

🚢By Sea
Traveling by ferry is a great budget-friendly alternative if you have time to spare and want to see the archipelago from a different perspective. Take a 2GO ship from Manila, Cebu, or Iloilo to Sasa Port. Travel time ranges from roughly 28 to 55 hours depending on the origin

🚌By Land
If you are already on the island of Mindanao, taking a bus is a reliable and common way to reach Davao City. New direct routes are making it easier to travel from other parts of Mindanao to Davao. For example, a direct bus from Zamboanga City to Davao now operates which takes about 18-20 hours. Davao City takes security seriously so when entering the city by land, expect to pass through checkpoints where vehicles are inspected and baggage may be put through X-ray scanners
