The Samahang Pisika ng Visayas at Mindanao (SPVM) –The Physics Society of Southern Philippines– is an independent group of physics teachers, researchers, and students in the Southern Philippines.
Since its founding on April 21, 1995, during the First Iligan National Science Conference on Theoretical and Experimental Physics held at Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), Iligan City, the SPVM has organized 24 annual SPVM National Physics Conference and Workshops and 13 international conferences held all over the country.
