Vision

A scientific-community bound by a common desire to advance physics in all fields and to make physics education and research a potent tool for development
in the southern Philippines.

Mission

To produce highly competent educators in the country equipped with content instructions, pedagogical techniques and effective methods
in teaching physics at all levels.
To engage in relevant basic and applied physics research works through productive alliance and collaboration with other scientific institutions;
thus help uplift the country’s economic development.
To provide a dynamic medium for exchange of ideas and experiences whereby members can be updated on the current state of physics researches and education.

Objectives

To assist and encourage physics teachers, students, and researchers do productive, relevant research in the field of physics and physics education.
To provide an active and dynamic medium for exchange of ideas and experiences whereby the members of the Society can improve and upgrade their knowledge of physics and the teaching of physics.
To promote and advance the learning and teaching of physics in the Visayas and Mindanao by sourcing needed funds and dissemination of information for this purpose.
